Pockets Change

Pockets Change is a Hip Hop & Finance program for youth, working with K-12 districts, colleges, and other community organizations across the country. We are a hybid organization (s-corp and non-profit 501c3).

Our mission is to build intergenerational financial resilience with students, families, and educators. We believe financial education is about much more than numbers, it’s a means for self-care and social justice. It all happens through Hip Hop pedagogy, which focuses on understanding self-identity in relation to the whole. Together we are working to address systemic issues of educational equity and the racial wealth divide.

Get Shameless

Our programs integrate Hip Hop pedagogy, interpersonal neurobiology, culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices, and CFP®-level financial concepts that include a racial wealth equity/economic justice lens. All these elements together give you the spaciousness you need to heal your relationship with money and build generational wealth.

See Change for Orgs

See Change for Orgs is a financial cohort for creators of color who are taking control of their finances as a liberatory catalyst to lead value-filled lives. See Change draws from our work in the racial economic inclusion space, interpersonal neurobiology training, and CFP® level financial content to deliver a program that leaves creators of color feeling seen, heard, and inspired to envision a brighter financial future. If your organization is looking for a way to deliver culturally responsive and embodied resources for your fellows/awardees/participants who are creators of color, See Change is it.
